first you start with by adding 9 to both sides to balance

-2x+6x-9=15

+9 +9

Giving you -2x+6x=24 now you start by dividing

I started by dividing -2

-2x+6x=24

÷(-2) ÷(-2)

Giving you x+6x=(-12) again divide

x+6x=(-12)

÷6 ÷6

Giving you x+x=(-6) we know that x+x is = to 2x next we divide agian

2x=(-6)

÷2 ÷2

Giving you the answr x=(-3)
