Explanation:

For equation, y = 1/3x +2, the +2 is your Y intercept. So on the graph, on the y axis, find 2 and place your first point. Next, your slope is 1/3. Which means 1 unit up, 3 units to the right (from your y axis point). Connect those points and make your first line.

For equation, y = -x-2, it's pretty similar. Your Y intercept is the -2, so find -2 on the y axis and plot your first point. Now, your slope is -x which equals to -1. So go down 1 unit and then 1 unit to the right (from your y axis plotted point).

As a result you should get something to what the graph in the picture shows.
