denominatior

as
integers
(ex 2 becomes 2/1 since 2 and 1 are integers)
Turn -3.5 into a whole number
by moving the decimal point to the right once (by doing this we are multiplying by 10) to get negative 35.
35 will be our first integer
Find a way that when divided equals the number we started with
to do that you can
divide -35 by 10 or -35/10 to get our answer.
The point is that the second term is supposed to be the dividend to get our quotant
. The
final answer is -35/10
.
