add the amount of lemonade and soda together, that is 42.

so you have 42:36.

you need to simplify it, so you divide 42 / 2 = 21

then you divide 36 / 2 = 18.

so now you have 21:18.

then you divide 21 / 3 = 7

then you divide 18 / 3 = 6.

so therefore, your answer is 7:6.
