The revenue from selling x shirts is /(x) = 12x.

The cost of buying x shirts is c(x) = 5x + 20.
The profit from selling x shirts is p(x) = (x) - c(x).
What is p(x)?

Explanation:

I assume this actually is

revenue : R(x) = 12x

cost : C(x) = 5x + 20

profit : P(x) = R(x) - C(x) = 12x - 5x - 20 = 7x - 20
