How do you solve (x+3)^2=121? Sorry it's been a while...

Answer: x = 8

Explanation:

(x + 3)^2 = 121

Take the square root of both sides

x + 3 = 11

x = 8

Plug it back in to double check

(8 + 3)^2 = 121

(11)^2 = 121

121 = 121
