Answer:

AC = 25 units

Explanation:

since ∠ A and ∠ C are congruent then the 2 legs BC and AB are congruent

BC = AB ( substitute values )

7x - 1 = 5x + 5 ( subtract 5x from both sides )

2x - 1 = 5 ( add 1 to both sides )

2x = 6 ( divide both sides by 2 )

x = 3

Then

AC = 6x + 7 = 6(3) + 7 = 18 + 7 = 25
