2r+3p = 10 5r+2p = 19.50. we multiply the whole equation starting with 3p x 2 and 2p x 3 =6p on each equation 4r+6p = 20 then multiply the sae line by either the 2 or the 3 and 15r +6p = 58.50 and when we have add showing each equation to minus + eliminate 6p - 6p = 0 then find = 11r = 38.50 then divide to find r = 38.50/11 to show r = 3.5 We then need to find p so use either the original equation to find 5(3.5)+ 2p = 19.50 = 17.5 + 2p = 19.50 = 2p = 19.50 -17.50 = 2p = 2 to show p= 2/2 and p = 1
