Answer:

An influx of large mass of people in short period of time brings lots of changes, and has multiple effects on the country and society where they move in. In Canada, after the World War II, the big influx of people had few significant effects:

- Population growth;

Since Canada didn't had big population, the new influx of large amount of people resulted in rapid big population growth (on percentage of total population).

- Increased urbanization;

Since the population grew rapidly, a rapid urbanization process began, and the Canadian cities and towns became bigger.

- Rising economy;

Canada is a country abundant with natural resources and it offers lots of opportunities for work, so when the new people came in the country it actually had a positive economic effect because there was job for everyone, it was nicely paid, and it help the Canadian economy to grow
