  • Terminating Decimal: A decimal number that has digits that end. Examples: 0.25
  • Repeating Decimal: Also called a recurring decimal, is a number whose decimal representation eventually becomes periodic (i.e., the same sequence of digits repeats indefinitely). e.g 0.16666

  • (1)/(1) = 1
  • Therefore 1 is a terminating decimal
