Hello!

What is the slope-intercept form:

y = mx + b

  • m: is the slope

m = (y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)=(-1-4)/(0--2) =(-5)/(2)

⇒ where (x₂,y₂) and (x₁,y₁) are random points on the line

  • b: y-intercept or the point that has an x-coordinate value of '0'

⇒ thus our y-intercept is '-1'

Thus our line's equation in slope-intercept form:

y= -(5)/(2)x -1

Hope that helps!
