We already know that 3/4 of the cookies are not chocolate chips, and half of those remaining cookies are peanut butter. We have to divide the fraction 3/4 in half.

We would actually write it as "3/4 * 1/2" because 1/2 is the reciprocal (fraction flipped upside-down) of 2 (which is what we would've divided it by to get halves). 3/4 * 1/2 = 3/8
