I’LL GIVE YOU A LOT OF POINTS

A hypothesis is an educated guess based upon observation. It is an
explanation of a single event based upon what is observed. A hypothesis has not
been proved but can be supported by experimentation.
a) Suppose that out of 10 trees planted in a yard, only five survived. What kind of
hypothesis could you make about this observation or event? Remember that a
hypothesis needs to have a certain format.
b) How could you test this hypothesis? What type of experiment could you perform?

If you don’t give a tree enough light, then it will die. you can do an experiment where you put one tree in an area where there is no sun, and put another tree in a well lit area. this will show that only the tree that views the sun grows.

a) My hypothesis is in this case is that the environmental conditions in the yard were too extreme which resulted in half of the trees dying.

b) I can test this hypothesis by asking myself, what environmental conditions were the trees in that caused half of them to die? I could read about different biomes and their climates and learn how well they support organic life such as grass, plants, crops, and even trees. I can then determine that half of the trees did not survive due to the extreme environmental conditions they were in.

Here you go!
