I need to estimate but I don’t understand

Answer: 270

For example, there is one 0 in 10. So I would just add a 0 to the end of 27 to get 270. If I were to multiply 27 by 100, there are two 0's in 100 so it would be 2700. 27 x 1000 would be 27000.
