At a carnival, 5/8 of the games cost $1. Another 2.5% of the games cost $2. What percent of the games do not cost $1 or $2?

2.5% of 8 = .2

5/8 + .2/8 = 5.2/8

5.2/8 = .65 x 100 = 65%

65% of games cost 1 or 2 dollars

100% - 65% = 35%

!! after doing it i did realize I could've just converted 5/8 into a percent than added it.

or

5/8 = .625 + .025 = .65 x 100 = 65%; 100% - 65% = 35%
