The slope of a straight line is given by the following expression:

m=\frac{change\text{ in y }}{change\text{ in x}}=(y_1-y_2)/(x_1-x_2)

By looking at the graph we have two locate two pairs of coordinates: Coordinate 1 (2,0) Coordinate 2 (-4,0).

Now we replace on the slope formula, having:

\begin{gathered} m=(0-0)/(2-(-4)) \\ m=0 \end{gathered}

Pair of coordinates, coordinate 1 (2,0) coordinate 2 (3,2)

m=(0-2)/(2-3)=2
