Step-by-step explanation

In a isometry the distances between points are conserved, so the image of segment PQ has to have the same length as segment PQ.

When we have a translation defined by a vector the x-coordinate of the vector tells the horizontal translation and the y-coordinate the vertical translation.

For this problem, if the vector is <3, 5>, we have to translate each point 3 units to the right and 5 units up.

Q(-2,-2)\to Q^(\prime)(-2+3,-2+5)=(1,3)
P(-4,-4)\to P^(\prime)(-4+3,-4+5)=(-1,1)

The endpoints of the image segment are Q'(1, 3) and P'(-1, 1)
