The equation y = 2x + 3 is in its slope-intercept form in which slope = 2 and y-intercept is 3.

If the slope is 2, then this means that the rise = 2 and the run = 1.


slope=(rise)/(run)=(2)/(1)=2

Knowing the slope and the y-intercept, let's now graph the line.

Let's remove the indication of the slope, here is the graph of the line y = 2x + 3.
