Solutions:

• Hot air rises because as the air is heated, it enlarges or swell up, resulting in reduced density, hence it rises .

• The molecules in the hot air also heats up and move faster and spreads out and hits the inside of the baloon pushing it upwards since the its density is lesser than when it was cooled.
