Answer: 4 : 9

Explanation:

Total number of blue shirts purchased by Alice = 4

Total number of yellow shirts purchased by Alice = 5

Hence, total number of shirts purchase by her = 4 + 5

= 9

Therefore, Ratio of number of blue shirts to the total number of shirts


=(Total~number~of~blue~shirts)/(Total~number~of~shirts)


=(4)/(9)

Hence, Ratio = 4 : 9
