3 + 6x = 2x + 27

Move the 2x on the left side with changed sign and the 3 on the right side with changed sign aswell.

6x - 2x = 27 - 3

4x = 24

Now devide 24 by 4.

x = 24 : 6 = 4

Answer:

  • \bf x=6

Explanation:

\bf 3 + 6x = 2x + 27

Subtract 3 from both sides:-

\bf 3+6x-3=2x+27-3

Simplify:-

\bf 6x=2x+24

Subtract 2x from both sides:-

\bf 6x-2x=2x+24-2x

Simplify:-

\bf 4x=24

Divide both sides by 4:-

\bf \cfrac{4x}{4}=\cfrac{24}{4}

Simplify:-

\bf x=6
