Hello there!

Here we need to solve for x.

The first thing that we're going to do is this:

  • Expand both sides by using the distributive property.

\implies\boldsymbol{4(5x-2)=2(9x+3)}

\implies\boldsymbol{20x-8=18x+6}

  • Next, add 8 to both sides.

\implies\boldsymbol{20x=18x+14}

  • Then, subtract 18 from both sides.

\implies\boldsymbol{20x-18x=14}

\implies\boldsymbol{2x=14}

  • Lastly, divide both sides by 2.

\implies\boldsymbol{x=7}

Therefore x=7. I hope this helps you, feel free to comment if you have any queries :)
