so first you plug in g(x) in for x in f(x). this is how it will look like

2(x+2)-1

then you distribute the 2 in both terms in the parenthesis.

2(x)+2(2)-1

after that, you multiply them and you will get this

2x+4-1

subtract 4 and 1 and this is your answer
