Given :

  • f(x) = (x-2)(x-4)

To find :-

  • The midpoint of x intercepts .

Answer :-

Given function :-

  • f(x) = (x-2)(x-4)

On equating with 0 ,

  • (x-2)(x-4) = 0
  • x = 2,4

Hence it cuts x axis on (2,0) and (4,0) .

Using midpoint formula ,

  • M = (2+4/2 , 0+0/2)
  • M = (6/2,0/2)
  • M = (3,0)
