What is X in 7(x - 6) + 2x = 39

Answer: x = 9

Step-by-step explanation: I just knew that x had to be bigger than 6 to make the equation work, so I put 7, then 8, then 9 into the equation until it made sense. It worked on 9. This is not the approved way to answer the question. :-)
