Explain how industrialization and the transcontinental railroad contributed to the idea of Manifest Destiny.

Industrialization allowed the idea of Manifest Destiny to spread throughout the country. One of the results of the industrialization period would be the rail roads and the advancements in transport. Traders would talk among themselves about this. Since it became more popular over time people started to follow.

Industrialization and the transcontinental railroad lead to the manifest destiny because it lead Americans to believe that god had wanted them to expand more westward. Though this wasn’t completely true, this lead to the market revolution causing a rise in slavery and cotton. This contributed to the manifest destiny because America had kept expanding from purchasing Texas and California leading to the Mexican American war
