Answer:
18x + 16

The formula for perimeter is l+l+w+w (l=length, w=width)

So, 5x + 2 + 5x + 2, which would equal 10x + 4

Now for the width, 4x + 6 + 4x + 6, which would equal 8x + 12

Add those together

10x + 4 + 8x + 12 = 18x + 16

Answer:

18x+16

Explanation:

You can either multiply each of the expressions by 2 first and then add them together

(5x+2)x2

+

(4x=6)x2

or you can add the 2 together first and then multiply that by 2

(5x+2)+(4x+6)= (9x+8)x2

so the perimeter of the rectangle would be

18x+16
