Answer:

When finding the Area then the perimeter of a triangle with 8 base and height is 5 we find when rounded by 3 dp it will always be higher than square unit Area by 0.8 = 1 But this increases slightly as there are 2 sides when height is 8 - Therefore as proven perimeter will always be bigger than unit square when base is either larger or smaller than one another but if height is larger it will always have the larger perimeter as shown by 3dp as 0dp as shown is 22 units long when base is 5 and by 2dp - However when base is 8 the perimeter is 21 units long

Area of the triangle? A=1/2(base*height) Therefore 1/2 ( 8 * 5) = 20 unit squares or if base is 5 A = Therefore 1/2 ( 5 *8 ) / 2 = 20 unit squares shown another way but is the same. We are then asked to find the distance around the triangle? A = B *H / 2 Therefore if base is 8 and A is 20 then we are able to do pythagorus 1/2 * 8 = 4 and 4^2 + 5^2 = 16+25=41 and sq rt 41 = 6.4 sides Or if base is 5 and A is 20 then we are able to do pythagorus 1/2 * 5 = 2.5 and 2.5^2 + 8^2 = 6.25+64=70.25 and sq rt 70.25= 8.382 sides so the distance

around the triangle is either base when 5 = 5 +8.382+8.382=21.764 is more than unit squares when base is 5 and when the distance
