Answer: x=6

Step-by-step explanation: when doing this problem you have to remember, what you do to one side you have to do to the other.

6x+22=64-x is our equation. We have to get the numbers on one side and x on the other, so were gonna subtract 22 from both sides

6x+22-22=64-22-x

This gives us the following: 6x=42-x

Now we are going to get rid of the -x by adding it to both sides.

6x+x=42-x+x

Gives us the following: 7x=42

Now divide both sides by 7

(7x=42)/(7) Which gives us x=6

Answer:

x = 6

Explanation:

6x + 22 = 64 - x (given)

+x +x (add x to both sides of the equal sign)

7x + 22 = 64

-22 -22 (subtract 22 from both sides of the equal sign)

7x = 42 (divide)

x = 6
