Speed:

  1. Speed is defined as the distance travelled by a body in a given interval of time.
  2. It is a scalar quantity.
  3. Speed = Distance/Time

Velocity:

  1. Velocity is defined as the displacement of a body in a given interval of time.
  2. It is a vector quantity.
  3. Velocity = Displacement/Time
