Answer: -1

How to add fractions

Adding fractions is the easiest from of math. For example, 1/2 + 3/4 = 4/6 = 2/3. Now, in the equation given, -4/5 + -1/5, we simply add the numerator and the denominator. Since the denominators in both equations are the same, 5, then we will not add them together, making it -5/10. When both denominators are the same, we simply keep the denominator in the answer the same. -4/5 + -1/5 = -5/5. -5/5 can be simplified to a whole number since both the numerator and the denominator are the same, so: -5/5 = -1.

Therefore, the answer is -1.
