2. When a glass is hulf filled with water, it has a mass of 510 g.

When the glass is completely filled with water, its mass is 750 g.
Find the mass of the glass when it is empty.

Calculate;

x is the mass of water

Find the difference in two masses, this will give us is the mass of water in half-filled glass:

  • 750 - 510 = 240 g

Now find the mass of the glass by the difference of half-filled glass with water and just water mass of same level:
