66 cows

Explanation:

Total number of animals = 154

Every 3 cows = 4 chickens

1 set = 3 cows + 4 chickens = 7 animals

Total number of sets = 154 / 7 = 22 sets

Therefore,

Total number of cows = 22 * 3 = 66 cows

To check back,

(22 * 3) + (22 * 4) = 154 animals
