Mind you parallel lines have equal GRADIENTS/SLOPE

TO ANSWER THIS ARRANGE ALL EQUATIONS AND WRITE THEM IN THE FORM Y=mx+c

5x + 2y = 4 \\ 2y = - 5x + 4 \\ (2y)/(2) = ( - 5x)/(2) + (4)/(2) \\ y = ( - 5x)/(2) + 2

SO FAR THE FIRST OPTION IS THE SOLUTION BECAUSE ITS GRADIENT IS THE SAME AS OF THE GIVEN EQAUTION

5x - 2y = 8 \\ - 2y = - 5x + 8 \\ y = ( - 5x)/( - 2) + ( 8)/( - 2) \\ y = (5x)/(2) - 4

DOES NOT HAVE THE SAME GRADIENT THEREFORE CANNOT BE CONSIDERED AS THE SOLUTION

TO SAVE TIME YOU CAN SEE THE FIRST OPTION IS THE SOLUTION

BECAUSE IT HAS THE EQUAL GRADIENT AS THE GIVEN EQUATION.
