\tan = (opposite)/(adjacent)

THE OPPOSITE SIDE OF THE ANGLE IS THE ONE WITH MAGNITUDE 6 AND THE ADJACENT SIDE OF THE ANGLE IS THE ONE WITH MAGNITUDE 8

PLUG IN THE VALUES NOW FROM THE FORMULA

\tan( \alpha ) = (6)/(8) \\ \tan( \alpha ) = (3)/(4)

I hope this helps
