Answer is n = 8

Step by step

First we want to get the constants on one side and the variable (with letter) on the other side.

Subtract 4 from both sides

3/4n + 4 - 4 = 10 - 4

Combine

3/4n = 6

Now to solve for n.

3/4n is the same as 3/4 x n, so to solve for n, we need to do the opposite, which here is to divide by 3/4 on both sides

* remember when you divide a fraction, you flip the divisor and multiply

3/4 * 4/3 n = 6 * 4/3

3/4 and 4/3 n cross multiply and = 1n or just n

6 * 4 /3

Multiply across then divide
6 * 4 = 24, then divide by 3 = 8

n = 8
