Let us assume there as 5x boys and 7x girls. So the total number of students = 5x+7x = 12 x or 36. Or x = 36/12 = 3.So there are 5*3 = 15 boys and 7*3 = 21 girls.

Answer:21 girls 15 boys

Answer:

6

Explanation:

Given:

boys to girls

7 : 5

Calculate the the ratio boys to girls in a class of 36:

For every 7 boys there will be 5 girls in the class, so 7+5 = 12 students

In a group of 12 students the ratio is

7 boys : 5 girls

In a class of 36 students because 12·3 = 36 the ratio is

3 boys : 5·3 girls

21 boys : 15 girls

Calculate how many more boys than girls are there:

21 -15 = 6 more students are boys than girls
