Solve an absolute value inequality

3|x-1| >= 12

Divide each side by 3

3/3|x-1| >= 12/3

|x-1| >= 4

Now there are two solutions

x-1 >= 4 or x-1 <= -4

Add 1 to each side

x-1+1 >= 4+1 or x-1+1 <= -4+1

x >=5 or x <=-3
