The Articles of Confederation were inspired by a number of sources, including the Iroquois Confederacy, the English Bill of Rights, and the Dutch Republic. The committee that drafted the Articles was tasked with creating a document that would provide a strong central government while also preserving the rights of the states. In creating the Articles of Confederation, the committee drew on a number of different sources to create a document that would meet these goals.

Hope this helps :)
