Well, this question can differ for many people... Personally I would say independence, because society tends to heal, and or work better in general 'while the gears in the machine are turning', basicly with independence you don't fully rely on government pay, because we work for money and it keeps the system from crashing. As for crashing I mean failing, yes the government pays people, but they do that with the money they tax out of paychecks. Meaning if no one works, than there are no paychecks to tax, and since people in governmental jobs are greedy, no one gets money, while prices constantly raise until 'the gears clog' or lets say the system breaks, then the entire country has to start fresh again. As for dominion it is entirely government relent. Actually fun fact, The United States is the only independent country or cotenant, that is as for now unfortunately, some government workers want to change that since they are power hungry.
