the price of a technology stock has risen to $9.69 today. Yesterdays price was $9.62 Find the percentage increase.

Answer: 0.728%

Explanation:

In order to find this simply, we need to find what the increase was. We find this by finding the difference between prices: 9.69 - 9.62 = .07.

We can then find the percent by dividing the increase by the original price, and then multiplying by 100:


(.07)/(9.62) *100 = .72765

This can be rounded to whatever you need, I chose thousandths for my answer.
