Hello there!

We can use the following formula, which is known as the slope formula, to find the slope of the line:

\sf{\displaystyle(y_2-y_1)/(x_2-x_1)}

In this formula,

  • \sf{y_2} is the y-coordinate of the second point

  • \sf{y_1} is the y-coordinate of the first point

  • \sf{x_2} is the x-coordinate of the second point

  • \sf{x_1} is the x-coordinate of the first point

We know that,

  • \sf{y_2=9}

  • \sf{y_1=3}

  • \sf{x_2=6}

  • \sf{x_1=4}

All we should do is plug in the values:

  • \sf{\displaystyle(9-3)/(6-4)=(6)/(2)=3 }

Our answer is:

\sf{Slope=3}

I hope this helps, please feel free to ask if you have any queries regarding my answer. I also hope that you're going to have a lovely day ahead! ^^
