Hello, I am a photon. I am a light particle that was emitted from a star far away in the milky way. I may seem small to you, but I am probably the fastest thing in the universe. I began by speeding away from my home star racing towards my destination, earth. To get to Earth, from where I was emitted, it takes almost 25 years traveling at the speed of light. The speed of light is 299,792,458 meters per second. The journey was amazing, I saw different stars, Super Novas in effect, black holes sucking everything inside of them. After 25 years of traveling through space, I finally reached the Earth's atmosphere but to my disappointment, I began colliding with gas molecules in the Earth's atmosphere and started to slow down. As I reached Earth’s surface, I saw a little boy looking out his window. I decided to go towards him, but again, I was slowed down when I came towards the window because of the glass. I slowed down by 75%. Finally after 25 years of traveling at the speed of light, I reached the boys' retina.
