Solve the equation:
p/12 = -1/4

p=-3


p/12 =-1/4

First you should cross multiply -1/4 by 4/-1 to cancel it out, but because you did it on that side you also now have to cross multiply
p/12 • 4/-1

It would look like this

4 p
— • —
-1 12

U can see the first thing we can cancel is 4 so do 4/4 and 12/4 which use us 1/-1 and p/3
then P also means 1 and you cant cancel out 1 and -1 so instead your just left with -3/1 and it’s -3
