Answer: y=0.5x+6

Explanation:

point a [y-intercept]: (0,6)
point b: (2,7)
slope-intercept form: y=mx+b

another way to solve for the slope is to count the rise over run (y over x). This only works for whole numbers of the coordinates with a graph.

1. Find 2 points that are integers. Starting from the 1st point, count how many times it goes "rises". Then count how many times it "runs".
Δy: It rises 1.
Δx: It runs 2.
Slope = Δy/Δx = 1/2 or 0.5

2. b=6 because x=0.

y=0.5x+6
