Shortcoming:-After some time cell stops working because + electrolyte becomes more + and - ve electrolyte become more -ve with time.So there is difficulty in flowing of current.So it stops working after some time.
This Problem can be solved by using a u shaped tube salt bridge.Salt bridge completes the circuit and will maintain liquid liquid junction potential.And now there will be countinuous flow of e- or current.
