Let s note Q for quarters and D for dimes.
Q+D = 4.15
Q = 2D - 5
(2D - 5) + D = 4.15
2D + D = 4.15 + 5
3D= 9.15 ….D = 9.15 / 3 = 3.05
Q = 2*3.05-5…..Q = 6.1-5 Q = 1.1
Quarters =1.1
Dimes = 3.05
Verify
1.1+3.05= 4.15
