Adjacent angles, on the other hand, share a common side and vertex. In other words, they touch. So, since these share both a common side and vertex, they are adjacent.

Additionally, the large-angle (that contains the smaller, adjacent angles) is a right angle, meaning that it has a measure of 90 degrees. So, if we know that part of the angle is 35 degrees, then the missing angle must be equal to 90-35. 90-35=55 degrees.
