Please help!!

The perimeter of a rectangular field is 300 feet. If the length of the field is 10 feet less than three times the width, what are the dimensions of the field?

Answer: Let the width be x & length be 3x-10

perimeter = 2(l+w)

300=2(3x-10+x)

300=2(4x-10)

300=8x-20

320=8x

width = x = 40

length = 3x-10 = 110
