Answer:

1a. Gradient =4

1b. y=4x-5

For x:

4x-5=0

x=5/4

therefore x=1.25

for y:

y=4 (1.25)-5

y=0

therefore y=0

coordinate = (1.25,0)

equation for parallel= y=4x

Explanation:

for equation of parallel, it is said parallel lines has the same gradient therefore, gradient of parallel line =4

y-y1=m (x-x1)

where m=gradient=4

y1&x1 are the coordinates which is (0,0)

y-0=4 (x-0)

y-0=4x-0

therefore:

y=4x
